I'm not 100% sure I know how it happened or when I talked myself into it. It's one of those things that kind of occupies your mind, teases you here and there with its charm and sparkle, and so you entertain it. You play out the scenario in your mind. Try to decide if it's really something worth doing, if you can do it......do you want to do it?

What on earth am I talking about?!

The "thing" that started as a brief idea here and there, snowballed and I wasn't even dressed for the weather before it caught me up in the process.

I am making a queen size yo-yo quilt.

<insert the most shocked-face emoticon there is>

Seriously? My exact text to my husband the other night when I realized what I was doing was, "OMG I think I'm making a quilt" He's been telling me to do it for some time now. No one really makes them anymore! Go ahead, google it. Your search results for new handmade yo yo quilt bedspreads will be short. Super short.

It's going to take forever. And I may even want to quit several times during the process, but God-willing I will complete it. I've already begun and decided on a pattern. It will be the Field of Diamonds pattern.

I'm estimating no less than 42....42.......4200 - FOUR THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED - yo yo's will be made for it.
